Douglas Biehl is the Director of IT Operations and Engineering for DTE Energy. DTE Energy is a diversified energy corporation providing both regulated and unregulated energy services across the nation with major interests in Michigan. Doug leads all of the infrastructure operations and engineering activities for the enterprise.

Doug's responsibilities include data center operations, corporate telecommunications (both voice & data), and desktop & portable device support. In addition, Doug is also responsible for all aspects of engineering support for these activities. This includes evaluation and implementation of new technologies, process improvement initiatives, and organization optimization. Data center virtualization, ITIL, and green IT initiatives continue to be developed and supported by Doug's organization. Doug has been instrumental in moving the organization forward to achieve top benchmark performance levels.

Before coming to DTE Energy, Doug was a vice president of IT at a consumer data mining corporation and the CIO of an automotive marketing firm. Doug has held a number key leadership positions at DTE energy and has been in his current responsibility for the last six years. He has Bachelors and Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Wayne State University. Doug is married and has two grown children.
