Michael Fuqua is Senior Vice President of Global Information Systems for Global Crossing, responsible for Global IT systems development, architecture, and operations. Mr. Fuqua oversees the definition, creation, implementation and operations of all Global Crossing's IT core systems including service delivery, customer management, service management, network management, partner management, cost of access, and general corporate management platforms.

Mr. Fuqua has more than 24 years experience in the IT industry developing products, services, and or IT business platforms. His career with Global Crossing began in 1994 at Frontier Communications, which was later acquired by Global Crossing, where he served as director of data services and product development. Since then he has held numerous executive positions with the company overseeing product development initiatives involving data-IP and connectivity services. In 2002, as Global Crossing entered chapter 11, Mr. Fuqua took on the IT Development role to steer the environment through radical change and redirection. He outlined a 5-year roadmap that help drive the company to new levels of efficiency, productivity and centered IT as a strategic component of the corporation's strategy. In May 2006, he was honored with CIO's "e;Ones to Watch"e; and in 2007 he took on the CIO role overseeing all regions and functions of Global Crossing's IT.

Mr. Fuqua's recent leadership successes include business transformation via integration of Unified Communications into Line of Business core applications and targeting new levels of process efficiency and automation of future services. As a proponent of virtualization and cloud services, he has turned IT capabilities from a cost containment shop into revenue enabler direction.

Prior to joining Global Crossing, he held various senior technology positions with IBM and TriComm Networking, an IT services company.

Mr. Fuqua holds an electrical engineering degree from Wayne State University.
