Harold Gilchrist is the Director of IT Operations for The Home Depot, the world's largest home improvement retailer. Harold provides leadership and hands-on management for Data Center Operations, Network Operations, Production Control, Data Center Facilities, Problem/Change Management, Incident and Crisis Response, and Disaster Recovery.

A 24-year veteran in the IT industry, Harold joined The Home Depot in October 2004. He was initially responsible for the start up of Home Depot's largest Data Center in Austin, Texas. Harold oversaw the facilities build out, operational staffing, and movement of key systems from Atlanta to Austin.

Prior to joining The Home Depot, Harold served in numerous technical and management roles at BellSouth, EDS and MSA. These roles span across Applications Development, Technical Support, Architecture and Computer Operations. Through this period, Harold was instrumental in the startup, consolidation and movement, and sustained successful operation of multiple data centers.

Harold holds a bachelor's in Computer Science from the University of Georgia.
